IQuestion regarding 2002 Nissan Altima - there some way to program your door locks so that when you put your car in drive and start moving that the door locks will automatically lock? I have looked in my manual and can not find any details.
Thank you in advandce for your assistance.
Automatic Door Locks
The interlock door lock function is the function that locks/unlocks all doors with the vehicle speed or key position.
Lock
All doors are locked when the vehicle speed reaches 24 km/h (15 MPH) or more. If a door is opened and closed at any time during one ignition cycle (OFF ? ON), even after initial auto door lock has taken place, the vehicle will relock all doors when the vehicle speed reaches 15 MPH (24 km/h) or more again.
Unlock
For vehicles equipped with Intelligent Key system, all doors are unlocked when the power supply position is changed from ON to OFF. For vehicles not equipped with Intelligent Key system, all doors are unlocked when the mechanical key is removed from the ignition key cylinder.
Setting for Automatic Door Lock/Unloc Function can be changed.

Probably sensors! I have already replaced the crankshaft positioning sensor once, nissan replaced it once under recall and now it is bad again! Plus my speed sensor is bad too! Go to any part store and get diagnostic test ran, it will tell what sensors are bad.

I consulted a Nissan master technician on this one, the Altima does not have auto locks, other owners have posted your same question as well and the experts answer is the Altima not equipped with this feature.
