Car suddenly will not start, doesn't even attempt to turn over or engage the starter. New battery was installed and all connections tested at dealer. After jumping the car it started fine, and continued to do so for 2 days. But after sitting for a day, same issue. All indicator lights turn on, wait a 3 count, turn the key and click. When you turn the key to the on or off position you can hear electrical noises under the hood.

I'm having the same problem. The dealership keeps telling me it's the starter. I've replaced starter and still have the same problem. I have had all the wiring and new key swith put in and still have the same problem. I guess were in the same boat!!!

Hey there, I would look at the switch on tha back of your ignition. Not the ignition it self, but the switch that's on the back of it. Its white round looking thing about 1 1/2 inches in circumference and it has wires coming out of it. I think that its gone. If you are sure, that your battery and battery connections are OK, than look at that switch. Part is replacable at about $50bucks for the part and than if you can put it in your delf, thsm you will save some money there too. Good luck

Connect battery>>>>try unlocking the vehicle from the inside (door closed), using the power un/lock button. Make sure the key is set to the "on" position. Most of the time this works. If this doesnt work, try using the key to lock and unlock the door through the key hole. Hopefully this helps!!

My guess would be a switch (park interlock, brake interlock, etc.), a main fuse (located under the hood), or a starter solenoid. One easy check is to turn the key to start and simultaneously wiggle the shifter or pull it in to the Neutral position.
Good luck.
