Question about 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee
These have a timing chain with no tensioner. I assume you mean the serpentine belt tensioner. Take the belt off, and unbolt the tensioner assembly from the engine. You can also just replace the pulley. Some pulleys are left hand (reverse) thread, so try loosening the bolt both ways.

You really need a repair manual for your model. Most Auto parts stores carry these. However, If your timing belt has been broken (burnt) while the vehicle was running, then you'll need to check for bent valves or cracked pistons. If you are not one, you may need a mechanic.

i have tryed 2 turn it both ways but i wont come off when u turn it 2 the lefy it wont move when u turn it 2 the rigt it loosens the belt!!
but it still wont come off!
