I pressed low range button and the light still on and gear change very fast o only to 3 gear wont go 4th gear how i can fix it please helpme

A lot of people think there is a prob with the ****** when it is in fact the TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) at the Throttle body. Does it shift back when not supposed to or hold in gear longer than supposed to?

JohnHi Besh, take the vehicle and have your dealer drain the transmision fluid and replace the gearbox oil filter. the vehicle has been in use for several years and I wonder if you have ever had the fuid replaced. it is advisable to have this proceedure caried out at least once a year. do that and then let us know if there is a difference? regards John

When you say you can get it to go into all gears except 5th .Dose it shift good in all other gears. This could be a problem with one of the clutch cylinders . Subaru has a pritty good transmissiom and if you are not haveing a problem with 4th gear i would think clutch . Look under the dash board at the clutch pedal on the inner fire wall if there is oil on it the master clutch needs to be replaced . Also check the fluid resivor if that is low there is likely a leak in the clutch system and if fluid can get out then air is getting in . The olny other thing besides the transmission needs to be rebuilt is the shift tower its at the base of the stick shift and is pretty much a unit including the stick and the parts attached to it . Look for these things and hopefuly its not a shifting fork inside the transmission

Make sure the fluid level is correct. You do this by having the vehicle idleing in park, then pulling the transmissiom dipstick, wipe it off with a clean rag or paper towel, reinsert ioto the tube making sure it's fully seated. Then remove it and look at the level on the lines [ there should be a " cold" level mark if not warmed up ], see if it's in the proper range, if not add fluid. [ this vehicle takes Dexron 3 fluid. Next look at the color of the fluid, if it's very dark or smells like it's burnt, then I would recomend having the transmission filter and fluid service as a first step and go from there. you could also have the cooling fan clutch checked as it can affect the proformance of the shifting [ sounds weird, but true ]. If nothing seems to help,or if you don"t feel like guessing - go to a good shop that specalizes in tramsmission work.

Brake light switch is not working. Electric brake controller is activating the shift lock. It's either the switch or the brake light fuse.

check for transmissiom oil levels

You need to do a full service of the tranny. You need a filter change,and a fell flush of the tranny. Make sure you are using the right tranny fluid for it as well.

Sounds like another junk transmission to me.
