SOURCE: Squeaking noise comming from Tensioner

check your power steering fluid, usually the noise from the power steering belt when you turn your steering wheel, just fill up some transmission oil to the power steering pump.Maybe can stop the noise.

SOURCE: high pitch squeaking noise at idle

you might need a stethiscope to hear where this is coming from could be a idler or maybe the tensioner or maybe the alternator .. none of these would bother power

Squeaking Noise

to check if belt spray water on the belt and if the squeak goes then adjust /replace the belt. When the belt dries out the noise will be back unless you do something to fix it.

I am experiencing a squeaking noise from infront near the fan belt area. when i accelerate,it gets louder. I discovered that the power steering pump is leaking ,so i topped up the reservoir and it stopped...

i have a similar problem. a squeaking noise, sounds when i start the engine, and when i stop the engine. at times it comes when the engine is running and idle, and it lasts some time like a high pitched whistle. Ive had several mechanics look at it, and it seem to be one of the smaller pulleys that the belts run around. in the 2002 model (petrol) of the crv the belts are not the cam belts, becuase this model has a cam chain (much more robust!). so they all said its nothing to worry about. you can try having your pulley replaced.

I had my alternator change and the belt starts squeaking i took it back to be tighten but it is still squeaking then noticed shortly after that that the a/c only blows hot air

sounds like the belt is still loose and slipping, you may need to replace the belt it's possible that it has stretched and can not be properly adjusted.
