Kia sephia will start but when lights turned on door locks and starter motor engage?

you have wires reversed at the fuse block under hood, matbe had to replace sone of the maxi fuse's that bolt in?? the clutch is probable bad there is a test motor running emergency brake on then push clutch pedal in and try 1st gear and keep pedal down during this, go 1st gear the to reverse if wont go smoothly or grinds then most likly clutch throwout bearing is bad, maybe clutch cable is streched or not adjusted properly if it is mechanical clutch, depends on year and engine size

2001 Kia Sephia automatic trans seems to be stuck in second gear, when manually shifted into first, starts off perfectly fine. When in drive, very sluggish on the take-off and does not shift out of the...

Alot of people have the same problem, including me. Changing the transmission fluid is not going to help this problem. THe transmission filter is not something you change as much as you clean and reinstall, its just a metal screen. Call Kia and ask for an "OVERDRIVE SHIFT SOLENOID" they will need the last 8 digits of your VIN, vehicle identification number, to locate your part. I am in the process of changing mine. The part number should be something like 46313-39051. That number is for a 2001 Kia Optima, with the 4 cylinder. There are three shift solenoids bolted to the bottom of your transmission should. I'll let you know what the difficulty level when I am finished.

I have a Kia Sehia 2004 with automatic transmission that **** at low gear: shifting 1st to 2nd gear. (all other gear okay including decelaration) What is the cause and the possible solution.

It could be a number of different things. I would begin by checking the transmission fluid level, if it is good, then you may have an issue with the transmission. Sometimes the solenoids in the transmission go bad over time.

I have a 2000 Kia Sephia with an automatic transmission. It starts and runs fine, but all of a sudden, it won't shift into any gear. It won't make a noticeable sound or action while shifting from...

all of a sudden- lkike your driving down the road and it stops working? or your stuck at home? so what I gather is you have a good running car that wont move.... a couple of things to check.. look under the hood at your transmission... there is a link from your shifter to the tranny. have someone else move the lever from frive to low gear to park etc.. then you look under the hood and make sure the cable is still attatched to the trans. if it is attatched and not moving you might have a freyed cable... if none of this is working you prob. need a new tranny
hope this helps

Locate the Light Green/Red wire on the transmission side of the connector. check the resistance of solenoid "B". Gears have to be changed manually

check to see if your shift cable, (depending on how old your car is) is broken or not. the shift cable should be attach your throttle plate to your transmission. if your throttle plate lever has nobs that dont have cables connected to them that should be a worry too. pull on the metal of the cables (not the sleeve) to see if any are loose or pop out. replace those that are broken if need be.

If your car is a fly-by-wire (meaning no mechanical connection between your throttle and transmission) i really would not be able to know without being there. but you could check to see if you have any pinched, corroded, or broken wires coming off of your throttle plate or off of your transmission. if there is then that is probably your problem. keep me updated and i hope this helps! goodluck with it.
