Central locking intermittent fault on drivers side central locking but can open with key. Constant fault on passenger side and will not open with central locking. Also passenger side electric window now not working. With the central locking you can hear a click but the buttons do not pop up. Sometimes as you drive away the door locks and button goes down as it should do but on passenger side it doesn't.

SOURCE: Voltswagon Bora Central locking fault

i had the same problem and i fixed it yesterday. you will have to strip the door down and remove the central locking unit. expect about a 3-4 hour job (at least).
check this site out taligentx.com: Passat - Door Lock Mechanism Repair. its **** hot.
mine had rotted inside, i tried to resolder it but it was to corroded i ended up soldering wires to the circuit board and splicing the into the loom on the door.(bit of a botch but it works great)
you can get a second hand unit if you cant fix it for about £50/£60 or pay a garage about £300 to do it.
believe me it was worth about 4hrs and gettin peed off to save the money.
hope this helps.

Door locks on the passenger side will not open with the remote

The master central locking module may be faulty. If the remote still operates the drivers side door lock and it will manually unlock with the key, it's possible the central lock mechanism in the drivers door is no longer sending a signal to all the other doors to lock/unlock. If all the door locks operate when you manually unlock the drivers door, the issue may be the remote receiver unit. It would help to know what car you're driving as some vehicles have inherent faults that are common and there is usually a go-to method of rectifying the problem.

Hi, I have a fiat scudo 08 6 door taxi. The central locking has failed. At first I had intermittent beeping as if the door was adjar. It then became constant. It used to lock from the key fob then lock...

you may be experiencing electrical issues due to short circuiting or grounding issues where your wiring has been compromised due to damages. it is difficult to say where your problem is but i would check the places where any aftermarket items have been installed and where any areas have been affected in collisions.

1999 Audi A3 1.8T Electric Windows and Central Locking Won't work

will your passenger door open with the key and is it just one side that your windows are not working or both. if its just one side it might be your regulator motor in the door thats not working if its both it might be your central locking pump usually in the boot. however if both of them are working fine it could be that your key needs reprogrammed however i think the 1st 2 are more likely to be the problem.

Central locking keeps locking the car. Unable to open drivers side door

Hello, we have a 2003 Kia Rio- problem as above- unlocking and then locking- only way in and out through passenger door.
This is what I have done and everything is back to normal- I hope it works for you.
1 Remove 25AMP fuse that controls door central locking from main box under the bonnet.
(AT this stage my passenger door opens- drivers side does not, the mechanism won't fully rotate)
2, Spray key with WD40 (or similar moisture repellent lubricant). Gently turn key to loosen mechanism- Partly remove key and spray lubricant into lock, have fun locking and unlocking!
3, Replace 25 amp fuse
4, Write yourself a cheque for garage labour and parts and wife brownie points!
