04-08 Pontiac Grand Prix - Blower Motor Resistor ReplacementPart 1 ..... Loosen, but do not remove the two frontward screws, then remove the single rearward .... Pontiac Grand Prix StereoRemoval 2004-2008 - Duration: 4:27. by Factory Car Stereo ...Pontiac Grand Am ,HVAC, Heater Fan will not turn on.
see if the noise goes away in a right hand curve, if it does its probably wheel bearing, because you will be lifting weight off it in the turn, also check to see if you have a bubble or seperation in the tire.
The first place i would look at is the heater blower motor resistor these are known to over heat the wire connector that plug into them. And if your heater fan is only coming on with 1 speed or none at all then you will need to replace the resistor.Go to www.rockauto.com for the best price on these parts.
assuming you know where your blower motor is you can check the motor for power with the switch on and see if you have battery voltage at the connector. if you do then it is a bad blower motor. Most of the time when a resistor goes out it will work on high only but no other settings. with it not working at all seems to be motor. Hope this is helpful.
