I have a 2008 Mitsubishi Outlander 2.4 CVT that is vibrating (intermittantly) when accelerating. The vibration feels like it is from underneath and through accelerator. It is more prone to happen if going up a hill or accelerating quickly. Generally only upt to 3000rpm, stops if you take foot of accerator. I have recently had to have a new head / radiator etc, so engine has ben some what rebuilt, however the vibration continues.

Sounds like a driveline/driveshaft issue. Either loose bolts or a bent shaft. Nut & bolt the shaft. If it continues after that, you may have a bent shaft.

I'm just guessing but i would say you have a bad engine mount.

SOURCE: Vibration on the floor underneath gas pedal

I would venture to say your exhaust is hitting your frame, or, you may need new motor mounts. The exhaust is what I would lean toward. If you can imagine your exhaust sitting under your vehicle, and the fact that the vehicle has a little age, the motor mounts probably give a little, causing the motor to move slightly on acceleration and deceleration, thus your exhaust is going to move, and may be vibrating on whatever its touching. Good luck.

if car shakes whilst acelerating and goes off when you let you foot off throttle then could well be a drive shaft cv joint

2003 Mitsubishi Outlander Grating Noise, Front Struts?

It very well could be the strut.
smaller chance could be the CV axle.
Also have the splash guards/heat shields checked to make sure they are all tight in place.

Front end popping/grinding and vibration from right front end

Bad news Aaron. Your symptoms sound exactly like a bad CV joint. And shame on the dealer for not thinking of that. If the CV is indeed bad, consider having the car towed to the dealership, as this can be dangerous condition.

I use to work at a Nissan dealership. It sounds like your are having problems with the torque converter. When the CVT gets replaced, the torque converter does too. They may have gotten a bad part and need to do a parts warrenty on it. Another thing is that they may need to reprogram the TCM. This is another step that should be done after replacing the CVT. If they will not do anything, I would try to find another Nissan dealership and have them look at it.

one of your wheels are off balance. either that or you have a welt in a tire. either way try to pin point which side and where the vibration is in your car and go get the wheels balanced.
