I use the remote to unlock the truck but 90% of teh time the right rear door does not unlock where I can enter the truck from the outside. Also, the left rear door, when locked and alarm is set, opens from the outside even when the inner latch shows it in the down position. Do I need to replace the actuators on both doors or is there a "simpler" fix?

Pull the panel off starting at the top, you can just pry the window control apart, you don't need to unscrew that part. I sprayed white grease (lubriplate) all around the door latch inside there, and it unlatched easy.
After I put it back together, the knob still doesn't rise as high as the other side. I think the linkage is binding, and the connecting rod is bent. At least if the door won't unlock with the button you can do it by hand.

sounds like the linkage is disconnected from the latch unit. Becessary to remove the door trim to inspect and repaiir. Hope this helps

At first look, I would have guessed that your battery in the door opener was dead, but that is not the case. I suggest driving to a nearby Chevy dealer and ask one of the salesman if he/she can help. They have always been helpful to me. If not try another one as they are in business to sell not only cars, but service also. They will be your best bet to fixing it. :D

may be a relay switch, or a faulty wire on the right side behind the glove box
