MAZDA MILLENIA 2002 S 2.5l....I hit a pothole and the car shut off....When I was pulling over to the side I see check engine light flashing.....I turn off the car and try to start again....it will cra

You need to get the codes that are stored before you narrow down the problem. Auto Zone parts store will get the codes out for free. I do not think there is any obligation to buy the parts from them. The part may not be defective. It just may have come loose from hitting the pot hole.

Hit a hard pothole with 2003 Jeep grand cherokee laredo. Immediately stopped. Fuel pump inertia switch?

Never heard of this switch in the fuelpump circuit. Remove the fuel cap and listen if you can hear the pump when you switch ignition on. The pump will run for 3 seconds when you don't start. Hitting the pothole can have dislodged many things, from relays and connectors to a line.

Won't start

check for fuel cutoff switch reset button. these are designed to shut off fuel in case of accident but they will some times be activated on blowout or even when you hit a pothole or speed bump. your local parts house can tell you its exact location, should be in rear window washer compartment or glovebox.

Hit pothole and engine stopped and unable to restart vehicle. shorted across the 2 starter wires and vehicle cranked but would not run. when turn ignition key nothing happens.

almost sounds as if there was water in that pothole correct? if so get some wd40 or crc and spray the distributer and or all sparkplug cables... this should sort the problem if not just leave it over night etc... to dry out
