I was driving my car on a caol day this month and i felt the car reeve up inbetween gear the car died a block down the road started agan and died another block down the road wouldnt start firt 3 trys and started agan then died 5 seconds later and wont evn click to turn over the light work battrie is good any suggestions

check to see if it has spark it sounds like it could be a broken timing belt.

If the problem occurs after the car has been driven long enough to reach normal operating temperature, the problem is the starter. If the 'no crank' occurs cold, retest the battery.

if this is a 1980 F150, emissionwiz is correct in saying it has a carburetor, if your engine runs on ether, you do not have fuel supply to the engine. Check fuel delivery at the front of carburetor, should be a line screwed into the carb, may be connected by a rubber hose, remove this line and crank engine, look to see fuel is gushing out of the line, if no fuel the pump is bad, check fuel lines back to pump for leaks, replace leaking lines if necessary. If you get fuel then your float inside the carb is stuck, and the carb will need some attention, hope this helps, let me know
