2-14-14 When driving Saturn Vue 07 brake system warning light stays on with chimes sounding intermittently when EB in off position and chimes and warning light go off if EB handle is lifted up slightly-master cylinder reservoir and brake system is fine according to Les Schwab-- If master cylinder float switch unplugged in garage, the brake system warning light still stays on (no chimes) and again if very slightly lift up on EB (not pressing down the EB button on end of EB handle).
Check the warning sensor adjustment as the eb system may be worn enough to set it off if the adjustment is too close.
Pulled up with a lot of force on chiming eb when driving slow on a private road and the chiming has not reappeared in the last 2 days.
After ordering a $14 Parking Brake Light Switch, and looking closely at the e brake console, I saw a nickel laying on the old switch; removed the nickel with a pencil and no more chimes and e brake lights staying on!

SOURCE: warning chime continues to chime as I drive
My guess is a faulty switch at door for turning off interior lights/door closed, which is giving chime that door is still open
SOURCE: Driver side exterior door handle pulls the locking
Take the door panel off the inside of the door. (Should involve screws at the bottom, plus bolts through the interior handle. Then pull out at the bottom, and lift upward Google for expedition door panel removal for more specifics if needed).
It sounds like the exterior handle linkage is binding against the lock button linkage. Actually looking in while pulling the handle would confirm. You then should be able to just bend the rods a bit to move them apart.

Did your mechanic use a DRB III or equivalent scanner before performing the bleeding procedure after installing the master cylinder? This is a requirement by the manufacturer (Chrysler) when bleeding the brake system.

(forgot to finish sentence....) If slightly lifting up on EB in garage, brake system warning light goes off, just like if car is being driven.
