The instrument gauges on my 89 3500 454, auto sometimes will go hay wire & not function, the turn signal indicators will intermittently come on & off, although the turn signals will still work when used. When this happens none of the gauges except for speedometer will work, & seems to act up after it's been run for a shile

My wipers were doing very strange things like you have suggested. I removed the outer cover from the wiper motor and inspected the solder joints. There were at least three cracked solder joints. I took out my soldering iron and re-soldered ALL if the connections on that board, no need to remove the wiper motor from the truck. After that, I haven't had a single problem.
A flasher will flash quickly when a bulb is burnt or not drawing power. Check to see if there is damage to a wire at the right rear signal, or if you have power there. If you put in a new bulb and it does not light, there is likely a wire issue somewhere near that light. Make sure the contacts are not corroded or this will cause the same problem.

This model always this problem, usually after about 90,000 miles and the other instruments will eventually follow. There are companies that will repair this for you just use google (instrumentclusters.com) to find them. I was charged 185.00 for the repair... GM wanted over 500.00!

The Trailblazers have a common problem with the printed circuit boards in the tail lamp housing.
Unplug the tail lamp housing at the wiring connector and test for power with a test light. ( With turn signals on) You may have an open circuit in the lamp housing circuit board. Good luck
