No idle on 96 Suburban

Idled fine yesterday. This morning I started it, backed it up a short distance in my driveway and put it in park where it immediately died. Now it will not idle at all- goes straight to dead if I let off the pedal. It drives fine but will not hold any rpm's in neutral.

Clean the cross wires inside the mass air flow sensor with a q tip and carb cleaner and see if condition improves. I't s located between the large duct sections going from the air cleaner to the throttle body.

1992 Buick Park Ave. won't start after pressing brake pedal.

sometimes the other switch is to cut out the cruise control when the brake is applied. I would more suspect something in the fuel injection controls such as a mass air flow sensor or throttle "switch." your car is probably too old to have an auxiliary air bypass valve but if it has one look at it as well. good luck

Key is on....battery is good....engine won't turn over

Black box (plastic) usually pretty handy to battery, you should see red (usually) cable from battery running to it. Another thing that came to mind, you don't have anti-theft system on that do you? Sometimes they will cause problems after a dead battery. Try using your key & valet key to unlock the doors, manually especially drivers.
