Had the exact same problem and went through the whole dance. Traced problem to relay under the dash , combination ignition/fuel pump relay. The relay was "clicking" but was internally bad, it would not engage circuit for the ignition. Power was indicated at coil and fuel pump would run but the circuit was not complete through the computer to power the ignition sensor in the distributor. I actually had to "gang" 2- 12 vdc coil automotive relays to replace the original relay. Caution... if you decide to gang 2 relays be sure to separate the two circuits, one relay for ignition, one for fuel pump and tie the coil wires together.

Same thing I started looking for the relay moving wires and the car started after changing coil and crank angle sensor/ pick up coil(same part pick up coil $180 crank sensor $69 through napa) cap and rotor spent about $250 in parts and it was only a $15 relay

I replaced the ignition coil spark plugs wires and battery, on my 1993 Subaru loyale. Before it would just crank but no spark from the coil plugs distributor, it sat for 4-5 months. Now when I turn the key...

this sounds like the previous owner fitted a security device to prevent thieft, the clicking is more than likely just a flat battery caused by the power drain from the suspect wires

1993 Subaru loyale Engine won't start distributor

if rotor (this is the one that turns and not the distributor), then its either your starter is broken or you have a drained battery.

also, for worst cases, your timing belt/chain is broken

92 Subaru Loyale Hood cable busted

Someone with skills/tools to enter a car with the keys locked in it may be able to get you in there.Ask a locksmith(they will probably charge less if you bring the car to them). The various vehicle entry tools to open a door might also work to open the hood.

I put in a used engine from another subaru loyale in my 1992 subaru loyale as the other through a rod. After the newer engine was installed it started fine and ran for about a minute then died. I checked...

I am not 100% sure but you may have a bad cam or crank sensor.
Now whether this car has those parts or not, you can find out from your local parts distributor or you can go online. Do you have a check engine light on?Good Luck Friend.

92 subaru legacy. Installed new water pump, now car won't start.

No spark on #1 spark plug wire? What about the others? Check it right at the coil to eliminate a faulty plug wire.

My 92 automatic 1.8l subie wagon new dist coil wires plugs cap rotor starter. alt is newer still no spark but rotor is turning drove home turned off car did not start again did this the first time and...

try and use the factory recomended coil, incorrect coil can heat up and than not acheive the required discharge to fire the plugs. also will lead to the coil failing, or ECM faulting and throwing a Check Engine Light.

Vihicle died won't start

My 92 Subaru would not start. New rotor, cap, replaced fuel filter. No gas getting to filter. When gas trickled in carb, runs like a top. I think the fuel pump out.
