Noise in right bank of V6 engine

Suzuki Grand Vitara 2005 X EC V6 Petrol
Noise in drivers side bank of V6 engine. Sounds like water pump bearing ,going, but coming from inside rocker cover. Only hear on tick over. Not all the time. Seems to make no difference if hot or cold.
Could it be a dry cam follower if these are fitted.

Have checked alternator and water pump bearings etc.

Locations of the cam and crank shaft sensors on a suzuki grand vitara 2.5 liter v-6 efi dohc engine

easter egg hunt 1,000,000, why?
if you scan the PCM and there are no ckp or cmp errors
why ask this, the PCM will report even 1 pulse in 10 dropped out
the FSM stated that in clear english, (factor serv. man)
scan it first, or you will go broke , I PROMISE.

double posted, why>?
well, its a H25 engines (or h27 too)
if you look at the engine,
this V6 , hood up, the left rear cam runs the cam sensor.
left as in left car door side,
i did not say drivers side, as the car is sold in UK and that be different side.
the left cam is that cam , on the left while the driver is seated in his drivers seat.
In the USA that is left side of car.

here are most the parts on this engine
see this free PDF

http://www.fixkick.com/engine/2.5L%202004%20Tracker/25L-2004-engine.pdf

the cam sensor looks like this on a scope

year 2000 usa, only, if not usa, nows the time to say, ok?

the below drawing is of the CKP, the cranks sensor
all this and more are in the real service manual.
or at mitchells, online, and all others too. chiltons,/alldata. etc.

I did go to Auto Zone and they gave me the diagnosis error code is (PO2631)but they don't know what is it means.

that is because that number is WRONG
P0xxx is the format , yours is too long. P0 p1, OR P2.
use any modern, scan tool, to read the codes.
be sure to write them down more carefully.
ok i see your error, you added a 0 . (i think i got it)
there is no zero, P2 codes are factory codes.
p0 is federal codes,
and autozoned, is clueless to them, they;'d need and fsm on every car made to decode all P2 codes on all cars. a hopeless path.

why not just look them up in authoritative sources
like, SUZUKI or Alldata.com and avoid the ZONED.
answer, USA answers 06 GV
2631 is the oxygen sensor, failure,(or its wires damage, in all cases)
V6 engine code, 2.7Liter
bank 2, sensor one.
decoding that , bank 2 is the bank not on cylinder 1 side.
the right bank is bank2
its the top right (upstream) sensor is bad.
http://www.fixkick.com/sensors/O2%20sensor/25L/25L-O2-H3LL.html

right means from drivers perspective.

best path is here
the price 4 bucks
the book is here

the FSM has your answer.

Front
B1 -B2
1 -- 2
3 -- 4
5 -- 6

bank 1 is left, bank 2 is right. per below, on all v6 by Suzuki

Replace engine fan pulley bearing

2.0L engine or 2.5L
we dont know which of 3 engines, unless yo say, thus the guessing game. (endless)
sounds like water pump bearings are out. and pulley flopping issues.
way end of life on pump.
the FSM covers this,
alldata.com cover this.

if you post the the engine, i can direct you to real forums for Suz,
that cover this 100 fold times.
use the wiki to find your real engine name (wiki suzuki, grand vitara)
then use google to find the zillion posts on topic
here ill gues at 2.5L like mine. (bty I have the real FSM on this car so not need to guess.)
2.5L V6 is called.
H20 ,25 and 27 are all one family of engine
so ill now google that for your, are you ready ? , its easy
https://www.google.com/webhp#q=suzuki+H25+water+pump+replacement

next the online info. (alldata.com ,etc)

quote minus photos
  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions section.
  2. Drain the cooling system.
  3. Remove or disconnect the following:
    • Negative battery cable
    • Accessory drive belts
    • Front timing cover
    • Water pump
end quote.

id bet this one photo (google searched) shows what is at hand.
its on the wet side.

Do i need lock tool to change cam belt on a 03 grand vitara

I'd be first confirming whether you have a 1.6 litre Grand Vitara (petrol), or a 2 litre turbo diesel. The 2 litre petrol (straight 4 or V6) or 2.5 litre petrol engines are all chain drive.
If your engine is petrol then no lock tool is required (to hold the camshaft). Of course, there is a specific position that an engine should be rotated too before removing the belt from ANY engine.
If it's diesel, then although I'm unfamilar with that particular engine, the general requirement for diesel engines with high pressure injection pumps is "yes, you require a lock tool" to hold the injection pump pulley. As I think these are a common rail set-up, this requirement may not be necessary. Check with your Suzuki Dealer, or maybe someone else here will know more. A similar question may have already been asked and answered here too.

PO135 Error Code

Bank one stands for the same side as the number 1 cylinder. Sensor 1 is the first sensor in the bank, (closest to the engine or upstream).
In most cases you will find it on the drivers side\left hand side of the engine and above the catalytic converter. Look for it on the lower portion of the exhaust manifold.
