On the gauge cluster, were the gear your transmission is in (automatic) is located.at the very bottom of that display is a green PWR light. What does it mean when this light stays on?
Re: on my 1993 toyota camry, green pwr light stays on
There should be a switch that says power/econ the light means you have it set for power ,find the button and push it and it will read econ, it is usually a green button on the center console.this changes the shift characteristics of your vehicle.

ECT is an acronym for Electronically Controlled Transmission and the ECT PWR button is a function of the redesigned transmission. When pressed, the ECT PWR button will adjust shift points so you can reach higher RPM levels before shifting into the next gear.
It should be a heat sending unit. And probably located on the head or intake manifold. Close to the top radiator hose. May be a different one near the bottom hose. It is possible to change yourself. Wherever you buy one at, have them print you a diagram on where it is located. Or they can show you on computer. Piece of cake.
Automatic?? if it is, the ECT button for the transmission is set to ON....it should be near the shifter!! This just delays the auto-transmission to hold in gears longer!! Check also if the ECT button is damaged!! Hopefully this helps
The PWR light is controlled by a switch located near the shifter...when you press it down, it turns on that light in the instrument cluster...when the PWR is on, you will have faster acceleration while taking off from a standstill
if the car is worth the amount of money they want to change the transmission then yes if not no i would not pay no more than a 1,000 on it the car is not worth it
