Sounds like you need front wheel speed sensors. Replace the wheel bearings and sensors. May have an ABS unit fault, but more likely is both wheel bearings/speed sensors.

DTC C0040 Right Front Wheel Speed Sensor Circuit --
Conditions for Setting the DTC
C0035 C0040 C0045 C0050
One of the following conditions exists for 0.02 seconds:
• A short to voltage in the wheel speed sensor signal circuit.
• An open in the wheel speed sensor signal circuit.

Diagnostic Aids
C0035 C0040 C0045 C0050
If the customer comments that the ABS indicator is ON only during moist environmental conditions (rain, snow, vehicle wash, etc.), inspect the wheel speed sensor wiring for signs of water intrusion. If the DTC is not current, clear all DTCs and simulate the effects of water intrusion by using the following procedure:
Spray the suspected area with a 5 percent saltwater solution. To create a 5 percent saltwater solution, add 2 teaspoons of salt to 354 ml (12 oz) of water.
Test drive the vehicle over various road surfaces (bumps, turns, etc.) above 40 km/h (25 mph) for at least 30 seconds.
If the DTC returns, replace the suspected wheel speed sensor or repair the wheel speed sensor wiring.
Rinse the are thoroughly when completed.

Replace the EBCM. Refer to Control Module References for replacement, setup, and programming.
Did you complete the repair?

Had the thermostat replaced on my 04 trailblazer and now is throwing the c0035, c0040 and c0201 codes. could this be a result of something they did with the thermostat work?

I don't think so? The first two codes are for left and right front wheel speed sensors. The last code is for abs system, the codes are all connected.
Make sure the wheel speed sensors are connected and clean. Just my opinion. Depending on the issue, you may need more diagnostics on the abs system?

2006 PONTIAC TORRENT WON'T START CODE READS COO4O ONLY CODE STILL WON'T START

C0040
Right Front Wheel Speed Sensor Circuit Malfunction
EBCM
DTC C0035-C0051

The wheel speed sensor produces an alternating current signal whose amplitude and frequency vary, depending on the velocity of the wheel. The electronic brake control module (EBCM) uses the frequency of the AC signal to calculate the wheel speed.

This wouldn't have anything to do with not starting ! Won't start how ? When you turn the key to the start position what happens ? Does the starter engage an spin the engine ? This would be a crank no start , now if nothing happens when you turn the key this is a no crank - no start .

2005 truck. What are the probable causes of DTCs C0035,C0040,and C0201?

C0035 is ABS Sensor in left front wheel
C0040 is ABS Sensor in right front wheel
C0201 is ABS Enable Relay Contact Circuit
You most likely have a poor ground connection or a faulty EBCM (Electronic Brake Control Module) for these conditions. I recommend having someone run a diagnostic test at a shop. I doubt the ABS issue is stopping the truck from cranking.

Abs code c 0036,front left wheel speed circuit range / performanc

I agree that it is more then like the the hub bearing assembly that also houses the speed sensor I would first check that there is no damage to the wiring that goes to the hub bearing that could be easy repaired, or debri that has been caked in between the sensor & the hub, use an air preesure to clean it out. Hub bearings are very expensive, so try this first. Good luck
