Nissan problems My 1994 nissan mistrals A/T oil temp, oil and battery light are on and have been for some time. Have had alternator checked and is charging fine even with lights and wipers going. Recently it got serviced and not long after my transmission started playing up. It doesnt happen with every gear change or all the time. Its like it gets stuck between gears and when you put your foot down it has no speed, it doesnt rev really high though. If you take ya foot off accelerator it helps it go into gear. I have been to mechanics and auto electrician still no answer. What could it be?

I went through three alternators before we found a good one for our saturn sl2. Now she has been good for two years. All I did was go back to where we bought it from, they hooked up the alternator to a machine and gave us a new one when it read that it was faulty.

have you checked the brake lights for operation ?
if they don't work than it is your brake light switch located on the pedal support bracket.

I would change the trans flter, trans fluid, and have the linkage on the trans adjusted.

I have the same problem with my car I think its the torque converter clutch but you should visit a diagonestic machine just to find out
