2004 chevy blazer code 304 missfire number 4 cyl

If plug an plug wire has been replaced , an dist. cap an rotor an problem is still there ,maybe a fuel injector problem .
Perform the fuel injector coil test. Refer to Fuel Injector Solenoid Coil Test .
A fuel injector coil winding resistance that is too high or too low will affect engine drivability. A fuel injector control circuit DTC may not set, but a misfire may be apparent. The fuel injector coil windings are affected by temperature. The resistance of the fuel injector coil windings will increase as the temperature of the fuel injector increases.
Diagnostic Aids
?€¢
Monitoring the misfire current counters, or misfire graph, may help to isolate the fuel injector that is causing the condition.

?€¢
Operating the vehicle over a wide temperature range may help isolate the fuel injector that is causing the condition.

?€¢
Perform the fuel injector coil test within the conditions of the customer's concern. A fuel injector condition may only be apparent at a certain temperature, or under certain conditions.

Sometimes it won't idle have to drive with two feet

You could have major vacuum leak or a problem with the IAC - idle air control motor . Is your vehicles check engine light on ?
Fuel System
?€¢
Test the fuel system circuits for proper operation. Refer to Fuel Pump Electrical Circuit Diagnosis .

?€¢
Test for low fuel pressure. Refer to Fuel System Diagnosis .

?€¢
Test for faulty fuel injectors. Refer to Fuel Injector Balance Test with Special Tool , Fuel Injector Balance Test with Tech 2 , Fuel Injector Solenoid Coil Test test procedures.

?€¢
Inspect for fuel contamination. Refer to Alcohol/Contaminants-in-Fuel Diagnosis .

?€¢
Inspect for fuel in the pressure regulator vacuum hose.

?€¢
Ensure each injector harness is connected to the correct injector/cylinder.

?€¢
Inspect for any items which may cause an engine to run rich, long term fuel trim is significantly in the negative range. Refer to Diagnostic Aids for DTC P0172.

?€¢
Inspect for any items which may cause an engine to run lean, long term fuel trim is significantly in the positive range. Refer to Diagnostic Aids for DTC P0171.

Sensor/System
?€¢
Test for conditions which cause an incorrect idle speed.

-
Throttle body tampering, excessive deposits, or damage--Refer to Fuel System Description .

-
Restricted air intake system

-
Large vacuum leak

?€¢
Inspect the air intake ducts for being collapsed, damaged areas, looseness, improper installation, or leaking especially between the mass air flow (MAF) sensor and the throttle body.

?€¢
Inspect crankcase ventilation valve for proper operation.

?€¢
Inspect the throttle position (TP) sensor and related wiring. Refer to DTC P0123 .

?€¢
Monitor the 24X crankshaft position (CKP) and camshaft position (CMP) sensors on scan tool. If both are not responding, test the sensor feed circuit. Both sensors use a separate feed circuit but are internally connected to power. Test all 24X and CMP sensor circuits for intermittents. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems.

?€¢
Monitor the 3X parameter on the scan tool. If the 3X is not responding, inspect the 7X CKP sensor and circuits for intermittents. Inspect the ignition control (IC) circuit, bypass circuit, 3X reference high circuit, and the 3X reference low circuit for intermittents. If these circuits become open, or shorted may not set a DTC immediately, but are capable of causing driveability complaints. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems.

?€¢
Test the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) system for proper operation. Refer to Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) System Description .

?€¢
Inspect the Transaxle Range Switch input with the vehicle in drive and the gear selector in drive or overdrive.

#2 fuel injector flooding

its bad or the PCM is firing it full time.
if the the injector leaks with the elect. connector pullled
the injector is bad
if the injector only leaks connected to the PCM then the PCM is bad.

do the balance test in the fsm. $4

or
here:
http://www.fixkick.com/INJECTORS/injectors.html#balance

if the NOID lamp tests is off , on #2 key on, then the PCM is ok.
the acid test is unplug it.

Petrol pump

short answer, in the gastank.
we check fuel pressure at the fuel rail .
if good, the pump is good.
the FSM covers this in vivid details.
or at alldata.com...
The 2TR-FE is a 2.7L I4 gasoline engine. It features DOHC, 16 valves and VVT-i . Its power is 159 hp (119 kW) at 5,200 rpm, and 180 lbf·ft (244 N·m) of torque at 3,800 rpm with redline of 5500 rpm.
this engine?

this is used on our tundra. but that dont help ,as yours may have
different EFI , in your country.
you should get the FSM for your car and your country.
on the trundra we must pull the tank to get the pump out.
draining fuel and lots of labor for nothing...
why do that.
we just attach the fuel pressure gauge at the fuel rail
and check pressure,
in fact we do all 6 tests listed in the FSM.
:shut tests. presssure tests. , and regulator test , and leakdown test.
and injector balance tests.
most can not be done, right back aft as you are working the front.

40.8 to 41.7 psi) idle fuel pressure
5min. leak down test, 147 kPa (1.5 kgf/cm2, 21 psi) or more
data is for tundra of simular engines.
if the rail tap is missing, this works.
http://urdusa.com/Fuel-Upgrades-URD-Fuel-Parts/c79_185/p1260519123/URD-Fuel-Rail-Tap/product_info.html

some factories save $5 by not having a test port.
this is the first part i buy for all my own cars.
for MPI engines. all.
many cars have a schrader valve present on the rail.
my jeep dont , i must used miller tool, 6539
do research online for your fuel rail needs and adapter.
i must have tool to do the injector balance test.
impossible to do unless you have 2 people. 1 under car
and one at rail.

Im looking for the meaning of P1174

P1174 indicates fuel trim cylinder balance malfunction. This means that your cylinder-to-cylinder air to fuel ratio is not balanced properly. Usually caused by a faulty heated oxygen sensor located in the exhaust or a simple vacuum leak. It will not harm your vehicle but it will lower your fuel mileage and the engine light will remain on until the issue is fixed, which will fail an emissions test for some states. This may be repaired free under your emissions warranty. Check with your dealer

Car bogs down after getting hot, service engine light flashing, 95 ford taurus gl . I got a computer diagnostic done, said random misfires, and the 2 "O2" sensors. However, the tech told me it was the coil...

Have the following tests performed : fuel system pressure test cylinder balance test as well as a injector balance test. Preferable an ASE Certified Tech will do the testing.Depending on what he/she says wel'll take it from there. Gotta know why its misfiring before we do anything else. Cat and 02 sensor respond to engine's combustion process
exhaust product.Lets see what the testing says.
