Sounds like a battery problem. Make sure that all your lights are off inside the car. Check your visor light too. Ive seen broken visors that wont turn the bulb off when shut and drain the battery over night.
Get your battery tested also to make sure it can hold the cranking amps needed for starting.
the baffle that operates to change the position of the air is not functioning in the old days these were vacuum operated now they are electrical, if you are uncomfortable with digging around under your dash check with a local mechanic, if you are acquire a Chilton or Haynes manual for your car and it can direct you to the location of the servos.
The fuel filter is located on the passenger side near the rear wheel well, just in front of the rear axle, around 60cm in front of the fuel tank. Look for the fuel lines running underneath the car. The filter is around 12-13cm in length and around 7cm in diameter, probably covered in road grime,
