Hello, Where is the Coolant sensor located on a 1995 Mercury Mystique GS 2.5L

My database just showed a text location for cts/coolant temp sensor. Upper left engine. You might look around thermostat housing? I don't think it's in the housing, but, might be close? I did look at wiring diagram for coolant temp sensor. Two wire connector, main wire colors brown and white. Good luck

How to repair P0125 for 2000 Mercury Mountaineer

P0125 OBD-II Trouble Code Technical Description Insufficient Coolant Temperature For Closed Loop Fuel Control What does that mean? This means that the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor indicates that the engine has not reached the required temperature level to enter closed-loop operation within a specified amount of time after starting the engine. Symptoms You will likely not notice any drivability problems. Causes A code P0125 may mean that one or more of the following has happened: Insufficient warm up time Low engine coolant level Leaking or stuck open thermostat Faulty coolant temperature sensor Possible Solutions The simplest thing to do is to reset the code and see if it comes back. Tempperature stays on cold does not move

You should feel upper radiator hose to see if its even getting warm at all
If thermostat is stuck open then it will hardly even move
If it feels warm to the touch then its probably a defective coolant temp sender
Most of the time its a one wire connector located near thermostat
If so you can ground that wire to see if gauge moves
If it moves toward hot then just replace the sensor
I need to know which engine and I can give you specific instructions on how to test that circuit and even location of sensor

First check water level (coolant ) .
then if it's full check ect sensor and wiring
then if that's good check thermostat for being stuck in open position can cause fuel delivery problems , even lean condition that will damage engine 61886105-9ee5-4372-972f-e0a755f67d6c.jpg

Temp guage not working prpert. Stays on H even with car off.

You might want to chk. the connection on the sending unit and temp. sensor thats the way they act when they loose a connection. If that chk. out ok then it would have to be the guage its self thats faulty.
