How do I tell if my car has california emmisions?

underneath the hood, in the engine compartment is a CATALYST sticker. That sticker is used for emissions related purposes. It might read "This Vehicle conforms to (year)" thats where it will state california or federal reguations for model year.

Wondering what a1976 ford f250 needs for smog

a lot especially if its california certified.the emmisions label under hood will list all equipmentrequired as well as the vacuum hose routing. if label not available you will need to know engine size/trans type/high or low altitude/ca. or federal.plus fords have calibration codes that split the previously mentioned options into several sub groups. so that little sticker under the hood is essential.

The California emmission has a federal warranty is 5yrs or 60,000 miles. So if the vehicle is beyond the time and miles. The emmission warranty does not apply .

Check light comes on

it should come out fairly easily. before you order the part , you have to check under the hood on the decal to find out if the toyota was made for california emmisions or federal emmissions. it will make the difference of an 02 sensor or an air fuel ratio sensor. big difference in $$ as well.
