SOURCE: Squeak in front end
Okay....I have been working on my boss' car for a week with this SAME issue....first....try to figure out the spot it is coming from. This part is the pain. Second, have a can of WD-40 and spray it into any joint you find. This squeek could be from an upper bushing, a lower bushing, an A arm bushing, or any other bushing on that side....so start out with this method first because it will only cost you a few dollars, or free if you have it already. But do one at a time till you find it. Then, you'll know what item to replace.

someone should be able to isolate the noise. put the car on a lift and bounce it or turn the wheel. squirt some oil where you think it's coming from and bounce it again.no need to guess what's wrong. this should be a relatively easy find

Hi!
Check the power steering fluid level, if OK, your power steering pump may need to be replaced. If in doubt, take vehicle to and AutoZone or similar autoparts store and have one of the attendants check it out.

SOURCE: front suspension squeak
Hi Mark, Have a look at the ball joints, tie rod ends and rack ends. If these parts are dry or worn they can cause the problem you refer to. If the are fitted with greasing nipples gease them and test. The shock absorbers assembly can also give a similar sound. At the top of the shock absorbers there are parts known as the pads or top mounts. These have a bearing or bush which rotate allowing the wheel to be steered. If they are dry they can also create the noise. Another place to look is at the rubber cushions where the springs are mounted, top and bottom. If there is a drumming sound when driving it would be a good idea to inspect the suspension bushes. If they are worn you may be replacing tyres more frequently than you would if the bushes are replaced. Regards John .
