SOURCE: hi..mercedez benz ML-320 1999 YEA.check engine

Those codes are Misfire codes, I would change the spark plugs, check or replace coil packs or wires, check or clean fuel injectors, and replace fuel filter.

SOURCE: We have bought a 2010

I assume its a new W212 E-Class ? Do you need a 7 pin or 13 pin socket. Either way adapters are available from MB and these have to be programmed at the dealer so the CAN system identify's what the new accessory is.
I would check with a different dealer if you are not getting anywhere, or a reputable tow bar fitter.

1994 Toyota Corolla Corsa Hatch. How to fit a tow bar please? Looking for help with mounting points, wiring is ok.

Much better to go to a place like Hitch City and have them fix it. When you buy the tow bar for the vehicle, the mounting points are under the holes in the tow bar. Drill the holes, spray with bitumen underseal spray, add washers and bolts. Find someway to mark dead centre of the vehicle as that is where the centre of the hitch has to be. I hope you aren't towing a 40 foot twin axle boat trailer and boat, or even a full size caravan / camp trailer with that little vehicle!

2004 silverado, new trailer wiring, good ground. Problem is back up lights on trailer will not work with 5 pin trailer adapter.

5 pin trailer connections here went out when Noah died. They were standardised at 7 pin for a long time then for a short time there was 7 + 1 and even that didn't provide for reverse lights.

Some 30-odd years ago there was a return to a single 7 pin for trailers with an additional 7 pin for caravans, the two designated 7N and 7S and the supplementary plug provided facility for caravan battery charging, a 12 volt supply, additional grounds and reverse light.
Today the standard Euro 13 pin system is creeping in.

Although it is impossible to buy a 5 pin trailer plug/socket here, I understand it is permissible to use one in the case of very small trailers where a following vehicle can clearly see the direction indicators of the towing vehicle, though that still would not facilitate the connecting of a reverse light as obligatory lights must take precedence, the rear fog light being required as well as separate circuits for left and right tail lights so with a ground, stop lights and direction indicators = 7 pins.

We want to tow a trailer behind 1996 dodge caravan is there a place to plug in an extension?

Auto parts stores sell a plug that plugs in behind your tail lights then i ran it ito the back of my van and plug trailer lights into it. It was a lot cheaper than paying someone to wire a mount onto my van. You will have a wire in the back of your van always but compared to the price to have one mounted its worth it. I have had it for three years and wire hold up to rear door shutting on it repaetidly.

Trailer wiring problem. Tow vehicle is a 2008 Grand Caravan with 4 wire plug. Double checked, plug function works fine. When trailer is plugged to tow vehicle with tow vehicle lights OFF the trailer...

Most likely the brown wire from the trailer connector is connected to a constant battery voltage source, and it should be connected to the vehicle running light circuit, however someone might have wired the trailer connector up that way on purpose so that the trailer does not draw power from the vehicle running lights and possibly damage the vehicle running light circuit. (Dodge/Chrysler vehicles do have delicate lighting systems) Here are some images to help assist you, and the 4 way connector is the same as the 5 way connector just without the blue wire for the trailer brakes.

Electrical towing wiring problem on Grand Caravan 2006

Well the BEST way to fix that is take the Van AND Trailer to the dealer and make them check it over and get it working. Sounds like they screwed up., and are trying to blame the trailer. The 4 pins are easy to check Running lights, Left turn, Right turn and Ground. I suspect the 7 pin is wired wrong. I dont know why they put a 7 pin wiring plug on? Those are used for largeer trailers that need a battery feed and electric brakes

No power to tail light on trailer- 2004 Dodge durango factory tow

If this is a factory light harness for the trailer hookup on your Caravan. Look under the hood for a fuse box. Many 2000+ vehicles have this with separate fuses just for the trailer lights.

Tow bar wiring

You need a Trailer Light Power Module - Uhaul, or anywhere that sells hitches and accessories. The module will power the lights directly from the battery - it still hooks into your car's lighting system, but only for sensing purposes, it doesn't put an extra load on the lighting system.

Here's an example from Uhaul:

Hope this helps :)
