Driver side power window switch

99 cherokee. My drivers side window also quit working. All the others worked fine. The master switch had power, just the drivers side stopped going up and down. I found a loose connection at the window motor, slightly bent the prongs to the motor connector and works perfectly now.

bad switch or motor
To check the motor the motor has two connections. One for up and one for down. Try hot wiring the connections to check. If it works the drivers switch is bad

I had same issue, you must remove driver door panel and you will notice some wires have broken after constant open/closing of door. Reconnect wires and you are good to go !

1998 toyota driver side window switch will not run any windows but lock button still works

"...when master switch remove, NO WINDOWS WORK"
This is correct--your master switch is part of the total circuit for all the windows to operate. Assuming the other windows work on their "relative" switches (passenger switch works passenger window etc.), you can assume this; it is not a relay problem. You only have one relay--a bad one would affect all window switches.
First, check your ground wires! Disconnect, clean (abrasively) and reattach)
Second, use a test light (starting at the master switch terminal) to determine if and why it's not getting voltage.

It has to be the switch or the wiring, right? So pull out the switch and probe the back with a volt meter to see if power is coming out of the switch. If yes, trace the wires to the doors.

If there is power to the switch, the switch is the point of failure. You can verify by checking for power at the window motors when the switch is pressed. It is also possible that there is a faulty ground connection from the switch, but this is unlikely. 99% chance replacing the switch assy. will solve the problem.

Ground goes through the master switch on the drivers side. Bad master switch can cause the other windows not to work. Don't forget to check the "window lock" switch in the master switch, which shuts off the other 3 windows.

Power windows stopped working.

Likely a bad master switch (the main window switch located in the driver's door). All other switches seek ground through the master switch so the effect quite often is the master switch can cause loss of window power on other doors. Given that the driver's window has also now quit makes this switch even more suspect.

Driver window button is the only one to work

lightly pry the switch up from the driver's door and do the same with the other doors. Check the voltage from the door switch on one of the other doors (it probably won't show any voltage). What it sounds like is the master door switch (driver's side) has shorted out, actually it's in the lockout mode. First try some electric contact cleaner spray, and spray the driver's door switch, make certain that the driver's side isn't in the locked mode for other window operation and if that still doesn't work, you'll need to replace the master door switch.

Good luck.
