Question about 2002 Dodge Intrepid
Priscilla TravisBefore it would only start in cold weather, and not in hot (or normal) weather, I was having a starting problem, and they said the car was not fully engaging in Park, even though it said so. So I have replaced the shift cable, the ignition switch, the neutral safety switch, and the alternator. And now this strange OK cold, but not hot issue with the starting! Help!
Could be the neutral safely switch is still not adjusted properly. With your foot on the brake and the transmission in neutral, move the shifter a little bit in either direction while holding the key in the start position. If the starter engages, the switch needs to be adjusted.

The shifter cable is adjustable in the column. Remove the column covers and see if you can adjust the cable. You problem is with the cable.
