Remove the glove box door. The PCM in a Grand Am is located behind the glove box. You do not need to remove the entire glove box, just the door. Remove the glove box by opening the door any emptying its contents. Squeeze together the outside part of the glove box that becomes visible while open. Squeezing it will release the clip from its fastener, and the glove box will slip right off.

Unhook the connection module that runs from the PCM to the vehicle. Depress the outer clips and pull to release the connection module (It is a six or eight pin white connector).
Use the socket wrench or screwdriver (depending on the vehicle year) to remove the PCM from its mounting. There should be six bolts or screws. Keep the bolts or screws in a safe location because you will need them to install the new PCM.
Check in this site www.wait4meperformance.com (Technical Support tag) has PCM for about $150.If you do replace the PCM, you will need to take it somewhere to do a crank sensor relearn routine.
Disconnect the Battery and wait at least 2-mins (to prevent a accidental discharge of the Passenger side Air Bag). Remove the Dash-Glove Box. The Resistor is located directly behind the Glove Box on the fire wall, and is held on with two (2) 8mm screws. Unplug the Resistor, remove the screws and it pulls-out. Install the new Resistor, install the screws, plug back in, reconnect the Battery and recheck the Blower Speed operation. Re-disconnect the Battery and wait = (Air Bag!) and reinstall the Glove Box.
Let me know if this helped, or if you have additional information or questions. Feel Free to contact us at FixYa.com!

This is a common problem (mine in a 2002 Dodge Grand Caravan) with the Blower Motor Resistor. Disconnect the Battery and wait at least 2-mins (to prevent a accidental discharge of the Passenger side Air Bag). Remove the Dash-Glove Box. The Resistor is located directly behind the Glove Box on the fire wall, and is held on with two (2) (I believe) 8mm screws. Unplug the Resistor, remove the screws and it pulls-out. Install the new Resistor, install the screws, plug back in, reconnect the Battery and recheck the Blower Speed operation. Re-disconnect the Battery (Air Bag!) and reinstall the Glove Box.

open the glove box door, remove everything from inside the glove box. remove the clip retaining the door-stop strap. pivot the glove box downward, unsnap the hinges from the instrument panel and remove the glove box. install in the reverse manner.
I will be happy to provide you with the instructions.
Open the glove box.
Remove all of the contents.
Observe the right side of the glove box door, you will see a black plastic thing/arm that is connected to a cylindrical device; Remove the arm from the glove box door.
After the arm is disengaged from the glove box door. squeeze the sides of the glove box towards the middle, to defeat the 2 stops that prevent the glove box from falling completely open.
Whilst squeezing the sides of the box inward, lower the glove box door down.
With a flashlight, look into the area behind the glove box. You will see a long rectangular device, this is the door/tray for the cabin air filter. Pull it out, towards you. Once it is out, you will be able to extract the dirty filter, and replace it with a new one.
This entire procedure should take you about 3 minutes. Very easy.
