Strange chime coming form 2004 freestar 6cyl.

My ford freestar when starting up for the day gives a steady chime or beep, what could this be. It seems to be coming from the right front side of the van. I have less than 50k miles and it's rarely driven far distance, kept in excellent condition

Door or back latch not closed completely?

Testimonial: "If that is the case the door light should light up on the dash but it doesn't and why would it only chime when first starting up the car. Thanks but I don't think that is the solution."

What does a P0316 mean on Ford freestar

P0316 means misfire on the first 1,000 revolution, this is not a random misfire,or a steady misfire, it just means it there Ford has recently moved the misfire from 14000. to 1,000. It can mean the crank and cam synchonizer, a worn COP (coil on plug) COP would give a steady and exact misfire. the cranksensor itself or the harness.

2005 Ford Freestar has started contantly beeping when in any gear except park. Sounds like it is coming from inside - in the back of the van. Any suggestions?

I have the same problem we got the van checked there is NOTHING wrong with the engine. it just randomly beeps its a set of 5 beeps about 4 times. its seems like it could be a check engine sound but no lights are on the dash.

I changed the wires and the spark plug on a ford freestar 2004 and now it wont start

You did not state which engine you have in your Freestar, but here is the arrangement for the four cylinder, Come back to me if this is not correct and you have a different engine and layout.

2004 Ford Freestar missing Possible fuel pump?

if you have a bad spark plug wire, it will draw condensation and make engine run rough.... you can check this by getting a spray bottle and filling it with water, spray a mist over top of the wires while the car is running, and if one is bad it will show.... (looks like little lightning coming off of wire) .... hope this helps

My door open sensor chimes whenever coming to a stop. I believe it is associated with the left slider.

it sounds like you need to adjust your doors to close tighter or you have a bad door ajar switch which may be part of the latch.
