Check connection to starter. Might need to replace starter. I'd start by checking connection's and make sure tight.

You have to give more and complete details what is happening.

it may be a control module issue as well which is also a dealer item..unless a parts store can do it cheaper..(I would honestly go with the dealer tho)

it could be your immobiliser

Does it have a child lock on it, that you may have accidentally hit?

This reset for key fob Hyundai coupe year 02 to 04
Turn ignition to position two
Press lock or unlock once
Ensure indicators flash once to confirm reset
This will enable fob providing you have no other faults

One day my Hyundai Coupe 2002 2.0 car alarm would not dis-arm. The remote was flashing but not turning the alarm off. I replaced the batteries and had the remote signal tested, but still the alarm would not dis-arm. There are no switches to flick off, no reset button and there was no way off cutting power to the alarm. The only solution was to take it to a Hyundai dealer ( with alarm siren sounding and lights flashing ) and have them disarm it. It took one guy almost 3 hours to disarm it, and cost me £150 ! I knew the guy at the garage, so that was with discount. The alarm is a joke and should not have been fitted in the first place by Hyundai!

i am leasing a car and there is some type of box with 3 red lights and 1 green on it. does anyone know what this is? it is located under the steering column
