Presuming the fluid level is full,it is quite common for a broken reverse sun shell to give the symptoms you are experiencing,as well as some other areas that could also give similar symptoms such as burnt clutch packs,or the torque convertor going bad,and eventually the vehicle will stop pulling altogether. If the fluid is full, the problem is pretty much going to require trans removal and repair.Further diagnostic would include installing a mechanical oil pressure gauge onto the transmission to monitor main line pressure and see what it's doing while the trans is acting up and not pulling, and this does require a gauge capable of handling 300 psi. Also pull diagnostic trouble codes from the vehicle computer (PCM).Good luck.

Disconnect the + wire Coils Take #1 Spark Plug Out Get a helper Use Compression Guage if not Available, Just put your finger over the Spark Plug Hole, have help BUMP the Starter over till You can Feel The Compression at your finger you need #1 at TOP DEAD CENTER on its Compression STROKE Fine tune it by using a STRAW in the Plug Hole to feel the PISTON Move UP To VERY TOP Dead center----------------------------------This is Tricky but don't Loose these Instructions------- If you have the OPTI_SPARK Ignition System My Books show all about it but Nothing on the Timing "MARK" as this is the step I Stoped at Above.. Coil Pack Ignition Will Have a Timing MARK On the Lower Harmonic Balancer. Point Being if Mark is NOT on the Degree Indicator It has JUMPED TIMING<< Surly on a Coil Pack Ignition System BUT
-------- The Opti Spark system if there is NO Timing Mark to Go by I Would Suggest Breaking Down and Letting A DEALER Handle it Unless You Can RULE that it HAS JUMPED TIME------------------------------------------------------------------------I Truly Hope I've shed some Light on Your Delima and this Leads you to a Smooth running Chevy. PLEASE don't forget to Rate Me ------------------------------------P.S. The Opti - Spark System Has A BAD REPUTATION Just FYI

either you have a fuel pump that went out, or your fuel pump relay went. These fuel pumps last around 100,000 miles, so if you're way under that, it's more than likely the relay, if you're close to that, it could be either.
SOURCE: security light was coming on
When ever the security light comes on, it only means one thing. The PASSLOCK anti theft in your vehicle is not communicating properly with itself. It sounds confusing, but its really simple.
Your key has a trasnponder (radio waves) in it. So not only must the key be "cut" correctly to turn the the ignition like every other key, but it must also send the correct radio signal to the ignition. This signal is then sent from the ignition/lock cylinder to the TDM (theft deterrent module) which in turn activates the starter and injectors. Which then allows your to start your vehicle or remain running.
The system is a great idea, because without the actual transponder key near the ignition, you can't even hotwire the vehicle. The problem is. Passlock has about a 5-7 year lifespan. Costs anywhere from $350-$700 + labor to fix, and is gaurenteed to fail again on you down the line. Diagnosing which part of the system is not working is next to impossible yourself, and many people end up throwing vehicles away because of this.
The good news is, when this happened to me, i found some ways to beat this system. Check out this link. Im sure you will find some sort of help on it. It gives you a rundown of symptoms, and some DO IT YOURSELF solutions to the problem. Good luck and i hope this helps you.
