SOURCE: how do I change the fuel filter for a 2002 pontiac Gran Prix
Release the fuel pressure by loosening the gas cap, raise and support the car on jack stands, squeeze the plastic tabs on the male end of the connector, and pull the connector apart. Some models have 2 tabs, and others have 1 and the fuel line screwed into the other side.Remove filter mounting bolt, unhook tab from frame and remove filter. when you put in the new filter, make sure the arrow is pointing toward front of engine. On the line with plastic tabs, just push on till you hear a click, then pull on it to make sure it's latched.Don't forget to tighten gas cap.
SOURCE: How do replace heater core in 2002 Pontiac Gran Prix
i do believe you have to take the passengers side dash apart behind the glove compartment. go to autozone and get a manual or go to the library and check the chiltons manual. this is not an easy job. how bad is the leak? if its not bad these heater cores are made of all aluminum. i would buy a bottle of that radiator additive and see if that takes care of the problem first. it only cost about 5 bucks a bottle and it may permanantly fix your problem.

You may have a jacked up wire... or plug...this happen to me on my 2004 grand prix gtp 2 times...1 time one of my plugs was cracked the 2nd time my plug wire was laying on dip stick and started to melt....each time after replacing the plug and the wire it stopped misfiring...

Spark plugs, transmission fluid and coolant change, supercharger oil, air filter, fuel filter, tires, brakes, engine mounts, BTSI inspection and power steering fluid. Also inspect the belts, hoses, pulleys and look for wiring damage.
