SOURCE: electrical problem

Find the ground wire on one of the lights and add another ground wire to a good clean metal surface and see if that fixes the problem. It defently sounds like a ground problem at one of the lights.

, do a simple test on the charging system...check battery voltage. should be 12v or better. start engine & check volts at idle, no accessories on. volts should read 13.5 -14v. Turn on all accessories(including headlamps on high) volts should drop slightly but should not creep down. Definitely not below 12.5. If voltage drops lower than 12.5, the regulator (in the alternator) is not working. either change regulator or change entire alternator. Alternator drive belt should have sufficient tension so that alternator cannot be turned easily by hand. If it can, check belt tensioner.

SOURCE: 93 S10 left turn signals not working

Have you tried replacing the flasher? You'd think neither side would blink if the flasher was bad but I've seen this happen and it turned out to be the flasher. You could swap the signal flasher with the 4 way flasher to verify that's the problem before going out and buying one. Should be a few bucks at the parts store.

SOURCE: 2005 Tahoe Z71: My battery died but was able to

When your battery died, it probably wiped the PCM memory. Drive for 20 minutes in stop and go traffic then 10 minutes on the highway to reset the PCM sensors. Check to see if this helps at all. It's wierd to think about, but the PCM can control alot of the systems in the A/C.

SOURCE: 2003 Chevy HD trailer wiring problem

I have the exact same issue. I have also tested my trailer on other vehicles and it works fine. I even purchased a light up tester and found the problem at the harness. It seems like a bad ground to me but I can't seem to find one.

The trailer lights have a common brake/turn wire while the truck has seperate turn and brake lights. I think the problem lies with the device that marries the two for the trailer wiring but I don't know where to find it?

The charging system on your vehicle is computer controlled . The ECM - engine computer turn's on the battery light if it think's there is a problem . Sends a message to the instrument cluster over the class 2 serial data network . Have you had the vehicle checked for DTC's diagnostic trouble code's ?

Have a 1998 buick century, the front blinker on the driver side will not stay working. Does not burn the fuses out. works for about 5 days then the turn signal starts clicking fast then a few days later...

This behavior is usually caused by water leaking into the socket or just a bad socket. Clean it up and use some dialetric grease on the contacts.

No dashboard power, except radio light, and theft detergent light

try cleaning the terminals, jump starting or use your key to unlock your driver door manually. Perhaps the factory alarm is armed and will prevent the vehicle from starting

I have a 1889 dodge dynasty it starts and runs a few secands and turns off it restarts and the same thang happins it started this after the battery went bad could this be a securty prob

The alarm system, which is activated by hitting the auto-lock button, causes the battery to drain if set off. A pretty good deterrent for theft, but definitely not a owner-friendly feature.

You'll know that the alarm was triggered if, upon (your sad attempts at) starting the 1989 Dodge Dynasty, the "Alarm" signal to the left of the steering column flashes. It normally would flash a certain number of times, to denote "Alarm Set Off! I have drained the battery power in the name of Security!" But usually you battery will die first.

The only way TO FIX THIS PROBLEM: exit the vehicle. Place the key in the driver's side door. Turn the key once to the left (counterclockwise) to lock it. Then turn it to the right to unlock it and open the door. Enter the vehicle. Start the car.

You may have to try this a few times in order to be successful. If your battery has been toasted by these attempts (sometimes the horn will honk and headlamps light up and flash for added battery-drain quickness!) you may need a jump.

To PREVENT THIS STUPID STARTER/ALARM PROBLEM: Simply use your hand to lock the door. Do not push the electronic auto-lock button.

ENGINE CRANKS BUT WONT TURN OVER

you meant its a NO CRANK engine.
silent starter, say the word silent.
even the starter relay must click.
and if head lamps die, so will be the starter.
due to a dead battery,
sounds like a bad battery to me. dead or only
DISCHARGED.
if the Charge/battery lamp is off in the cluster driving. its ok. the alternator.

starter car with the jumper cables connected
and not next day.
only live jumps matter. or you go know where.
if you want to walmart they have tool there that
tests the alternator
battery
and for phantom drains all in 6 min work, the tool does all the work.

if the battery is charged, it will crank I bet
its discharging.
for 1 of 3 reasons.
1: its bad.
2: the charge system is dead.
3: phantom drains, it goes dead as you sleep
the head lamps dead is the big clue there.

Battery dies in extremely cold weather

Sounds to me like you have a weak batt. also if you rear lights are sticking on some times that could drain it
