The driver side window will not work on my 03 gmc sonoma cannot find the seperate fuse for the window all other windows work

I dont think the motor is blown because i do not hear a clicking or humming sound when i push the button. The window has shown no problems with going up and down, it seems to be at a good speed when doing either. It all of a sudden just will not move.

SOURCE: 2000 GMC Jimmy SLE driver's power window

I had the same problem...it was the window gear that got stuck when the window was all the way up. (that's the clicking) I took my panel off and banged on the inside of the door with a rubber mallet. The window works again. Since then I make sure when I role the window all the way up to stop that I just barely tap the down button to release the pressure on the gear inside. When your using the hammer...hold the switch in the down mode...ignition on of course.

The same thing happened to my 1999 JMC Jimmy recently. I believe the problem is that your power window motor has most likely gone out or is starting to go out. The motor will need replaced. They are pretty expensive new. I went to a junkyard and got one for around 15 dollars. When mine went bad, I had rolled my window down about three or four inches and it stuck there. I took my door panel off and tapped on the motor while holding up on the window switch and got it to go up after a few minutes. I am replacing my motor today, I'll leave an update here about the outcome when I finish the job. I hope this information helps you.

SOURCE: HAVE A 03 GMC SIERRA

I had the same problem in my wife's 2003 Yukon Denali. The power seats and passengers side window wouldn't work. Turned out to be a blown Buss Type fuse in the Underhood Fuse Block. It is the one marked MBEC 1 50amp. Hard to tell if the are blown so look very carefully. Should look like a hoop with two shiny solderlooking bubbles on either side. On my blown fuse, it caught my attention because it looked like the solder was missing and I had to look very closely to see the bottom of the "hoop" was open. They are very hard to remove and must be pulled straight up.
This type of fuse looks like a red square with a clear plastic top showing the fuse link under the plastic. On my vehicle it is on the top row second one from the left.

Driver's side window will not open or close automaticaly. Has to be pulled up and down by hand

Check the wiring and connectors supplying the driver-side window motor and also the fuses in case each window is fused seperately. The electric motor may have failed. When you operate the switch do you hear the motor working?

Driver side electrical window

the windows are controlled through a central electronic module called a GEM (Generic electronic module), there is no seperate fuse for the window, if only one window works then either the window switch is defective or the window motor is defective, the motor is the most common problem.

Window on drivers side wont go up or down but passenger side works on 2002 gmc sonoma

A couple of things that can happen. The switch is bad or the motor regulator is bad. Either way the best way to check is to open the door up and disconnect the motor and ground one terminal and supply battery voltage to the other. You might want to use a fused wire to do this just in case the window motor is shorted out. You can reverse the ground and positive and the window will operate in the other direction. if the window moves the porblem is either the switch or you have no power to the switch.
