Hi, I have a 93 civic ex coupe low mileage stock everything after install header exhaust things still ok till couple days later idle gets very low to 300 or 200 rpm doesnt stall but dont sounds nice. Check oil and spark plug nothing wrong niether timing belt. Maybe need to clean TB or iac?? I try adjusting the iac but idle doesnt seems change so curious if can help. Thanks
Changing the exhaust system can alter the gas flow and may create problems for the sensors . The HO2s sensor and the O2 sensor may now be operation on the edge of the parameter settings and any exhaust coating on the sensors may be affecting their performance. Run fault codes to check the sensors and sometimes removing them and cleaning them in vinegar to remove the coating will improve the situation. What ever is the problem if it started after the manifold change then that is the area in which to seek answers.

check for vacuum leaks and exhaust gas leaks as they will affect the sensors as well
prob so, cus it I start up the car I hear leaks from exhaust tip that connect to the system. big air leaks so maybe try that first. Im more to thinking its the o2 sensor cause the car is 10/10 condition jus after installing aftermarket then it happen so if ya have same experience before or if knw I wuld like to know so I can get closer to solving the problem
I have an o2 sensor connect to the header but how come I dont have one that connects to the catalytic converter is it how it is for 93 ex?

90000 Miles on the Timing Belt. Do not let this go! A timing belt failure can cause internal engine problems.
Should cost around 200 or so, depending upon your local labor rates.

Hi,
To my knowledge (at least in my country), some Honda Civics have a compensator solenoid the pushes on the throttle that adjust the engine's RPM to its standard idling when the A/C compressor is activated. Technically, this solenoid is nothing more but a coil and a plunger. When the compressor runs, the same relay activates this solenoid and pushes the plunger forward increasing the RPM. Pls check/clean/adjust/replace as deemed fit and necessary.
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Another place to look is your IAC, or Idle air control valve. It is bolted to the back of the intake manifold, and can be removed and cleaned. It is usually the cause of most Honda Idle problems.
