only stalls , but runs perfect even up hills, at wide open throttle.
fresh gas, or 1 year old?fuel.
can your fast right foot , save the stall, and easily?
ok stalls 101.
1; lost 12vdc to EFI system.
2: lost engine compression.
3: lost spark.
4: lost fueling or floods
there is a simple test for each.
do you want more guesses, or how to do tests.
can do both, but my guessing fails 99 /100 times.
tune it up
do the right foot test. those are always first. on stalls.
always.
Try cleaning the throttle body around the butterfly. Gas carbon will build up in the throttle body and that will cause one to stall or not run good. I just use starting fluid and screw driver and rag, does a good job. Hope this fixes it, Mitchell.
you may also want to consider that the coil pack is failing... i remember when my windstar coilpack failed i had an awful time just getting up a small hill... can't recall if it shuddered tho.
Hi,
Have you had your intake manifold cleaned out before? They can really get gunk-ed up. It only requires some Throttle Body Cleaner to be sprayed inside the intake. Be sure that the engine is NOT running when you do that.
Also spark plugs do not come pre-gapped. You need to adjust them to the correct gap.
