89 chevy shuts off after being jump start, usually shuts of coming to a stop sign i just replace the alternator its a brand new alternator after it shuts off it drains the battery. And if i try to jump started againg it will not start it will only crank like if it didnt had gas.. 
If you replaced the battery and alternator and it's only cranking but not starting, it might be possible that the fuel pump is going bad or has gone bad on you. If it's not starting with a new alternator and battery, try using starting fluid, if it turns over and starts, that might indicate a bad fuel pump.
I suggest that you have a load test done on the battery as from your description there is a dead cell . Coming to a stop is when the engine is idling and the output of the alternator is below that required to supply current to the ignition system. With a dead battery and jump starting it is possible that the CPU program is corrupted so after you fit a good battery use a scanner to reset the CPU program
