This problem could be as simple as a TPS (throttle position sensor). Some vehicles are now drive by wire. This means that there is no actual throttle cable. When the gas pedal is depressed, it sends a signal to the CPU and tells how far the pedal has been pushed. How many miles do you have on this? Sometimes a plugged catalytic converter can cause a vehicle to accellerate slowly and cause you to "butterfly" the pedal and make it hard to get over 60-70 MPH. Hope this gives you some ideas.

My 2003 S430 Mercedes Benz's wont accelerate when I press the gas pedal. The RPM gauge does not rise either. What do you think it could be?

  1. The Pedal is not connected!! as there is no action it does, since you can easily start on the engine, then there is no problem with the engine itself.
  2. Does the RPM moves while trying starting engine? if YES, so it is a pedal problem

My 2000 GMC/jimmy suv starts up but doesn't respond or rev up whenI push the accelerator pedal

Look for where the throttle cable connects at the throttle body. If you can move the throttle plate here and get the engine to respond, then the cable is either broken or disconnected at one end or the other. Any other situation doesn't seem likely.

95 gmc jimmy, press on gas to excellarate rpm dont move

I would say your rpm sending unit is bad. It may just be loose. You would have to check the wires to make sure.

The eng. will not go over 2000 rpm

disconnect the throttle cable from the throttle body and try to rev the engine

if still cannot rev past 2000 then suspect MAF (mass air flow sensor) or the throttle body...remove the snorkel and check to make sure the throttle plate is moving freely

finally, if when the accelerator cable is removed and rpm's rise above 2000 then suspect the accelerator cable and/or gas pedal

Whenever I put the Audi A4 in reverse it shifts fine but when i put in in drive it shifts real hard and when I am slowing down at times it downshifts like something hit me.Where do I add trans fluid?

down the dipstick tube!!!(really)DO NOT OVERFILL...
Your audi is fitted with a fuzzy logic gearbox, it will change according to your driving style.TRY THIS,put into 1st and without touching gas pedal, let the car accelerate to top gear, stop Then using onle 1/3rd gas pedal do it again.then using 2/3rds do it again.then only using the minimum pedal req accelerate to max legal limit.(try not to use brake pedal, let the car slow down itself, until you have to)then drive as normal, it will feel like a different car.

1996 GMC Jimmy, flutters when in idel

You could have a cloged EGR valve on the jimmy, which can be removed and cleaned with carb or injector cleaner which you can buy at any parts store.
As for the air leak on the brake system on the truck. That's bad and needs to be replaced or repaired, taking a guess that the sevice brake valve gaskets may be bad.
Good luck and hope this helps.

2000 GMC Jimmy's RPM's too high when shifting

Replace the shift solenoids (there are two) inside the tranny, just in front of and to the right of the tranny filter.

your problem seems very easy :) hope this one work with your envoy. Just buy AC DELCO carburetor tune-up conditioner.

How you use it: engine running , AC off please

1. detached the big black airflow hose which is attached in the mannifold of the engine block.

2. ask your friend to step on the gas pedal and set the rpm steady in 2000 rpm only.

3. then spray vigorously in 8 seconds the inside circle opening of mannifold while your friend steady step on gas pedal with steady 2000 RPM only.

4. after you spray, let your freind continue on gas pedal with 2000 rpm for 15 more seconds.

5. attached back the airflow big black hose to the manifold and you are ready to roll with your AC on.
