the switches need cleaning ,they have contacts in them that get dirty you can spray contact cleaner on them or use emery paper to file them, they are not to hard to pull apart

SOURCE: 2001 mitsubishi eclipse 3.0l ticking noise

No. The valves are hydraulic. Pour about a coke tin amount of diesl in with the engine oil. Run the enginr to normal teperature. Drain the oil and refill with new oil. It sounds like a lazy or blocked follower. Once you do this it should disappear.

How do I replace the window weatherstripping on both the driver and passenger side windows on my 2000 Mistubishi Eclipse GT?

Only the dealer will have them through special order and they should come with instructions. VERY EXPENSIVE!

My 2001 eclipse will not start. i try and turn the key then a loud soaring grind noise is made and it wont turn over>>>>>>

I'm not sure what you mean by "a loud soaring grind noise", but an educated guess would be a bad bendix on your starter. Second to this could be some missing teeth on the flywheel.

I'd suggest you check with friends, relatives, etc. and see if they can recommend a reputable local mechanic to look into this for you.

Good luck!

On my 2000 Mitsubishi eclipse, the driver side window wont roll up, and it can't be the motor, cause the passenger window will roll up, and when I try and roll up the driver side it'll make a noise like it...

It could still be the motor.. a small internal short in the motor will let it run but not under a heavier load like pushing the window up. If you can get to the window motor connector by removing the door panel and have a good volt meter you can back prob that connect with small paper clips as just and example. key on engine off, and run the window.. if you get a reading of 12V Then it's most likely an internal short of some kind in the window motor.
Just my thoughts.. Hope it's helpful

The passenger side window on my 2007 mitsubishi eclipse spyder wouldn't go down using the controls. Then, when we put the top down, the window went down, but now it won't go back up. I checked the fuse,...

It may very well be the motor. It is the most common problem, as they fail, even though they might work occasionally. You need to try all switches, and realistically see if the switches pass power through to the window motor.
