Truck not getting fuel mechanic says fuel pump

Truck was working fine to start then stop one day

    It is either the fuel pump or a bad relay switch witch is located in the engine department were the fuse box is.. hope this helped

If a mechanic has checked it and say's it's a bad fuel pump,it most likely is 90%.If the kms are around 180000 or 100000 miles or more, it really most likely is 99%.

Chevy Trucks, Blazers, S10 pickup and the like will vapor lock ecspecially the 2000 models. Do not tighten the gas cap past 1 click. There is a tube that runs from the top of the tank down and this gets hot and collapses or burns in half. We just bought a reinforced rubber tube cut it to lengh and use it instead of part and it's worked grat for 2 years so far.

Fuel pump relay sound bad. Under the hood in the fuse box is the location of the relay. Look under the cover for the diagram to locate it faster. Hope this helps. Please keep me posted. Good luck

Try replacing the intank plug-in for the fuel pump. They have been known to go bad even though they look okay.

The fuel pump is located in the fuel tank and can be reached by removing the back seat.

Car runs fine at times then will not start. Sprayed carb cleaner in air filter and then it starts but dies when i start. The next day car starts and runs fine.

It sounds like your car isn't getting the proper amount of gas. You say your mechanic changed the fuel pump and the regulator. Id have him run a diagnostic tool on it to see if it throws any other codes. Its getting fire. Try changing the FUEL FILTER. it maybe clogged. maybe the pressure regulator is not giving it enough pressure to push the gas into the engine or maybe the fuel pump is only working at times. Does it run good and then start to spit and spudder then die? if so its not getting gas some how. Idk if you can adjust the pressure regulator or not. i mostly work on old school cars.

A mechanic would use starting fluid to suppliment the fuel supply. Then check for fuel pressure with a gauge.
It could be the pump relay among other things.

1993 Subaru Impreza engine problems

ok first question where did you buy the fuel pump tell me other try this when car is not starting go to fuel pump get a circuit tester have somebody else turn key to on position for ten seconds turn off then again if no noise from pump check for power at fuel pump there should be one wire that has power for obout ten seconds then cuts of. if power to pump and it does the ten second on and shuts of by it self then you got a faulty pump, now if no power at all on ten second teste then get a long wire thay can reach from battery to fuel pump hook up to your battery go to wire at fuel pump and hit it with wire from battery if you can hear pump going on them you have a bad contact ether at fuel pump conector or at relay conector or bad wire one thing when looking at conector at fuel pump you will find sevral wires two wires are for fuel level one power on ground other wires are for pump one ground and other for power to pump if any question ask me i will help i am a mechanic let me know

I was told that some fuel pumps do not work more than a day or two, replace the fuel pump again. Mine came with a warrenty

My mechanic rplaced some engine seals on my 2001

if you have been having problems since the shop had it I would take it back so they can go over everything they might have touched.. Also GM fuel pumps for from 97 to 2002 are known to have the symptoms your describing before failing completely. Only way to know is when it does not start try spraying some quick start or brake cleaner to see if it will start. Or have a pressure gauge hooked up. When you say it has fuel presuure that means nothing if you can't verify it has the proper pressure.

If it still doesnt start when you spray then you will know its ignition related and not fuel related. Try rotating the relays for the fuel pump with the ABS and any PCM sounding one with the horn. Also inspect fuses for hairline cracks that may open when hot. Rotate the logical ones there also.

The crank sensor and the coil could have been tested before you replaced it but since you did already one other option is if you have a cam sensor it also can causea no start. If you know how to use a meter test components before replacing. Go to youtube. Alot of hands on tutorials. Or do a searh on how to test a componant.

1990 325i Convertible- not starting

There is probably a fuel relay somewhere in that circuit to, that may be faulty. Check your front drivers side inner fender by shock tower for 3 relays. It should be the middle one.
