SOURCE: rough idle , car run good after 1000 rpm ,did a

so by the timing chain issue , you have a 2.7l v6, was it rough idle before the chain replacement, if no than your chains are out of time by 1 or 2 teeth, on cam gears, this is a delicate motor on timing, of course a compression test would a have been first to do before any teardown. GOOD LUCK RDJRP

SOURCE: timing chain guide broke..jumped time and broke middle gear.

remove the #1 sparkplug place a long screwdriver in the sparkplug hole point touching the top of the piston turn the crankshaft around until the screwdriver is almost pushed out (top dead center)
check to see that the distributor rotor is pointing at the #1 sparkplug wire it must be; if not: turn the crankshaft again until it does
then turn the camshaft around until both valves above the #1 piston cylinder are closed
this is correct; now find the marks on the belt camshaft sprocket gear and, crankshaft gear aline the belt marks with the gear marks and, install the belt

Truck won't run on its own

Check your fuel pressure, early 2000 rams are notorious for fuel pump issues. They start but run rough or lack power.

2004 f150 runs rough

check the HO2s and HO2 sensors as the tuning of the engine is out because of erratic sensor messages to the ECM. Misfires can also be from faulty injectors or low fuel pressure in the fuel manifold . The rattle under acceleration will be detonation from a problem with the air/ fuel / timing because the ECM is not getting constant readings from the sensors to be able to adjust everything

Where is located thecam sensor on a jetta 1.8L

A P0010 code refers to the VVT (variable valve timing) or VCT (variable camshaft timing) components and the car's PCM (powertrain control module). That consists of an oil control valve (OCV), also called a solenoid valve and other components. Basically the check engine light and associated P0010 trouble code means that the voltage in the circuit has fallen below a set limit for a specific amount of time (varies by make/model/engine).

Carefully inspect the Bank 1 VVT/VCT system circuit wiring and connectors, repair as required
With a warm engine, test the operation of the OCV, replace/repair as needed.

P0012

P0012 - "A" Camshaft Position - Timing Over-******** (Bank 1)
OBD-II DTC Trouble Code Description

"A" Camshaft Position - Timing Over-******** (Bank 1)
What does that mean?

A code P0012 refers to the VVT (variable valve timing) or VCT (variable camshaft timing) components and the car's PCM (powertrain control module, also called an ECM). That consists of a few different components but the P0012 DTC specifically refers to the camshaft (cam) timing. In this case, if the cam timing is over-********, the engine light will be illluminated and the code will be set. The "A" camshaft is either the intake, left, or front camshaft.
Potential Symptoms

Most likely a P0012 DTC will result in one of the following:

hard starting
poor idle and/or
stalling

There are potentially other symptoms as well. Of course, when trouble codes are set, the MIL (malfunction indicator lamp, a.k.a. the check engine light) illuminates.
Causes

A P0012 DTC trouble code may be caused by one or more of the following:

Incorrect camshaft timing
Wiring problems (harness/wiring) in intake timing control valve control solenoid system
Continuous oil flow to VCT piston chamber
Failed timing valve control solenoid (stuck open)

Possible Solutions

The main thing to check is to verify the operation of the VCT solenoid. You're looking for a sticking or stuck VCt solenoid valve caused by contamination. Refer to vehicle specific repair manual to perform component tests for the VCT unit. Notes: Dealer techs have advanced tools and the ability to follow detailed troubleshooting steps, including the ability to test components using a scan tool.

What causes the computer to read bank 1 to lean, bank 2 to lean. It also idles rough and will stall out while stopped. Runs great at operating speeds. It's on a 2004 F150, 4x4, 5.4 vin code 5.

More than likely you have a vaccume leak.Check arround the intake looking for any broken vac.hoses(especally the PCV hose) all the way up to where it connects to the intake.Could be a bad mass airflow sensor, but more likely a vac. leak.

P0012 Intake camshaft position timing over retarded bank one Is this a easy fix

Code P0012 - Variable Camshaft Timing Over Retarded - Bank 1

How does a P0012 code trigger the check engine light? This code will trigger the check engine light under the following condition:
* The comprehensive component monitor, referred to as the CCM, monitors the Variable Camshaft Timing (VCT) position for over-retarded cam timing. If the cam timing exceeds a maximum calibrated limit or is stuck in a retarded position, the check engine light will come on and set this trouble code.

Possible Causes:
Incorrect camshaft timing
VCT solenoid valve stuck open or continuous oil flow to piston chamber
Camshaft advance mechanism binding, or faulty VCT unit

Diagnostic Help:
This check engine light code is caused by a mechanical fault of the VCT unit or related components, so there is no need for electrical diagnosis. Possible symptoms may include rough idle, stall or hard start. Refer to manufacturer specific component tests for the VCT unit. You may also use the "Get Help" link if you need specifications or have any other related questions. Remember to refer to an appropriate manual for specific instructions.

Other details mentioned a P0012 DTC trouble code may be caused by one or more of the following:
* Incorrect camshaft timing
* Wiring problems (harness/wiring) in intake timing control valve control solenoid system
* Continuous oil flow to VCT piston chamber
* Failed timing valve control solenoid (stuck open)

Possible Solutions:
The main thing to check is to verify the operation of the VCT solenoid. You're looking for a sticking or stuck VCt solenoid valve caused by contamination. Refer to vehicle specific repair manual to perform component tests for the VCT unit.
