The first start of the day is fine and runs fine. But after a few hours the truck has no power and the engine runs but is like the transmission is skipping. It won't go more than 30 mph and no power. The RPM will go upto to 3 but the truck won't go any faster than 30 Mph. After a while, the truck will shut off and won't start. I pulled on the side of the Hwy and wait there for about 20 mins. And it will start but the engine will stalled before starting. Once on, it will run rough. and after another 20 mins. it will run normal. It will do it again in another few hours and I will have to go through the same proceedure.
Check the alternator... battery isn't getting sufficient power from it. if tthe problem continues there will be chance of battery dead. duo to the less power supply from alternator, if we increase the rpm though the vehicle wont go faster and engine gets off. so my suggestion is please check the altrnator replace it if required.

I had the same issues for most of last summer. Finally, I replaced the Plug Wires and the car has been working like a charm since. The other problem I found was that I had the wrong plugs. It seems there are only two types for the Focus, the local parts guys quoted me the incorrect part number and my fuel efficiency went to ****.

i would say that you have a bad fuel pump or if you have a carb on it the float inside the carb is stuck check these and i'm sure you will find it's one of these.
SOURCE: truck starts, dies. truck runs good some days, bad the next
I had the same problem with My 1990 F150 300 6cylinder 4x4.....I cahnged all the same things you did, finally I sprayed a can of Gumout through the throttle body and it worked and ran great. Now I add fuel injector cleaner to the gas and a regular clean with the gumout and the problem has'nt come back. Good Luck to you and hope it works!

take a heat lamp or a small electric heater with blower and set it up near your ECM {computer} let it sit there about a day. Remove heat source and start it up.
