SOURCE: How to change the headlight bulb on a 2001 mitsubishi galant?

On either side of the headlight wiring assembly, in the engine compartment, you will find 2 small tabs. They are located to the sides and towards the bulb of the plastic assembly. Press these 2 tabs in while pulling the wire assembly out. Remove the rubber gasket and unhook the wire spring holding the bulb in place. The bulb come right out. The bulbs are halogen so do not handle the new bulb by the glass.

SOURCE: mitsubishi outlander cooling fans not operating

There is a Recall to replace your cooling fan module because of this concern.

Open your hood and look at the black box bolted to your radiator fan by the battery. If it does not have a green dot on it, you have not had the replacement fan module installed.

Contact your local dealer with your VIN handy to verify the recall has not been done and to schedule an appointment.

If the recall has been done, verify if you have power coming out of the module to the fans, as the fans do burn out eventually.... but rarely both at once.

SOURCE: how do you reset change oil light on mitsubishi outlander

Turn the key off.

Press the "Info" button on the left of the dash cluster until your maintenance miles/months screen is displayed.

Press and hold the "info" button until the maintenance screen begins flashing.

Release the "info" button and then push and hold it it for one second.

Your Maintenance intervals should reset to +6 months and +7500 miles since the last interval amount.

Note that if you have not reset it for more than one interval, you may need to do it more than once. If you have not done it for many intervals, you may need to have it reset with the scantool at a dealer, as I have run into a handful of vehicles that the oil change reminder locked up after 3-4 "intervals" were skipped/not reset.

Hi, did you know there is a recall on the indicator/headlight stalk. The plug in the base may be faulty. I wolud check with a Mitsubishi dealer or gGoogle, if your car is included. You need your VIN number. Does it work when you pit your hazards on or you lock the car? If not may be it is the plug in the back of the globe. Good Luck

How do I replace the headlight assembly MN133516

The 2003 Outlander utilizes replaceable (9007) headlight bulbs. If you're looking to replace the bulb(s);
1. Raise the hood.
2. Remove the plastic cover at the rear of the headlamp assembly by rotating it counterclockwise, and pulling it off. This will allow access to the headlight bulb.
3. Twist the bulb socket counterclockwise in order to remove it from the headlamp assembly. Pull the old bulb out of the socket, and use a clean cloth to install the replacement bulb. Do not touch the glass of the new bulb.
4. Place the socket back into the assembly, and twist it clockwise. Reattach the plastic cover, and close the hood.
Are you needing DIY instructions for replacing the entire headlamp assembly? Left (driver) or Right (passenger)?

You have to access the lens from under the hood. There will be adjustment screws that also hold the lens in place. Remove those and it snaps out. They are in there firm so be ready for a little fight.

How to replace the headlamp bulb for my 2005 mitsubishi outlander

okay, open the hood, and look behind the head light assembly, look for the low-beam bulb, these bulbs are which operate when you turn on your headlights. check modifiedlife.com for the correct size of the bulb. then simply put your hand in and turn the outer-fitting 1/4 and it should come off, simply swap the bulbs and it should be a piece of cake. put it in reverse order.

if the bulb will work in another socket then it is not just blowing out bulbs, it most likely has a small short in the power wire a continuity test can determine where is is coming from.

Sometimes bulbs will just go out like this, or it may have been a bad one to start off with. Try replacing the bulb again, and if the problem persists, contact the Dealership.
