Try having the transmission filter and fluid changed.

What causes a automatic transmission to go into a false neutral 2001 Honda civic

You aren't the only one to encounter this problem. But I haven't detected a recall for this.

Check for low transmission fluid. However, you may have a failing transmission. If the fluid is dark or smells burnt, you may have such. Some suggest possible savings from installation of a used transmission or a Japanese one, if that is the case. But before such considerations, examination of diagnostic codes is the route to go. .https://honda-tech.com/how-tos/a/honda-civic-why-does-my-automatic-transmission-slip-into-false-neutral-when-warm-376007

2004 Honda Civic LX 1.7 Recently Had Transmission Rebuilt And It Fills Like If Transmission Pulls Slightly And Then Take's Off When Pressing The Accelerator Any Suggestions?

Is this automatic or manual? If auto, fluid might be low or the torque converter might be having issues. If manual, clutch might be slipping.

My automatic transmission is slipping once the car gets warm in my 1986 honda accord LX-i

Once a transmission slips-- it is done

Time for a rebuild

THERE IS NO OTHER SOLUTION

It slips,it has done that for awhile, that is an
internally worn out trans

1986-- I would get rid of it

You never install a used trans & $2,500 for a reman
or rebuild, makes no sense.

The whine is a worn out pump or stuck pump valves

Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome to the site. I would advise you to have your transmission checked as soon as you can. You might need to check your fluid and change your transmission filter first to see if that helps. But, more then likely, your transmission will need worked on since it slipped. That may be just the beginning.

Check the transmission fluid level and condition of the fluid. Add Automatic Transmission Fluid as needed and do not over fill. Have the transmission line pressure tested and service the transmission. "replace the transmission oil and filter" Star with that and hope the transmission is not gone to far that you may need any other transmission. Keep me posted and shop around to find a good transmission shop.
