95 caprice is sputtering

dirty throttle clean with throttle cleaner.spray in the butterfly.

crank sensor failing, still reading signal but sporadically. can also help if you replace cam and crank sensors at same time.

Sounds like you need a tune up with new air and fuel filter.

dirty throttle body, check air filter.

throttle position sensor or crank position sensor. but first have it on a fault diagnosis machine to find a fault code and go from there

sounds like you crossed a couple of plug wires ...re check fireing order .

Try replacing plugs, wires, distributor cap and and rotor.

check the fuel line filter may need a clean or replacement

sounds like the ignition module is going bad.

This isn't answer but a couple of things to check or do. First has fuel filter been replaced? Start car and put it in gear. HOLD Brake and Give it gas while still holding brake hard!!!! Doess it buck or miss fire? You said it ran bad to highway. Explain Please !!! will answer after you reply.
