try to chek the brake light suitch cause it mayt be that and the gear box dot know where is .

try these diagrams as iam sure you have put a fuse back in the wrong position

You don`t want to tow the vehicle on the drive wheels at all. You will damage you transmission. But if it is a shifter problem you can unhook the linkage from the transmission and move the shift lever with your hand. If it is a transmission problem, you cant do it without disassembling the transmission.

No you do NOT need a new transmission.
This model Mercedes uses an electronic solenoid in the shift housing, to take the linkage out of park.
There is a small plastic part, activated by a solenoid that pushes a release, allowing the shifter to come out of park. Most of the parts in the box were metal. This particular part is plastic and very frail.
It is not an easy job, but any mechanic can do it.

I woulnt touch it. Have someone inspect it to determine whats wrong

you need to have your car scanned for codes. in the mean time take a flat screwdriver and insert it in the slot on the shifter console and release the shift lock. this should allow you to manually shift the vehicle. Your owners manual should tell you about this feature.

u must get ur battery checked. may be battery charge is depleted while parked.

tap the shifter with a hammer and pull back at the same time this will work ok. big g.
