I have a 1999 Ford Explorer V-8 that had an engine fire caused by packrat debris. After dousing the fire the engine runs poorly.

Start with P0714 lean code which is likely an intake manifold (vacuum) leak. Could be you dislodged a vacuum line when putting out fire or a line was breeched. These can be notoriously difficult to find. Search "1999 ford explorer v8 vacuum leak" for help.

It is located at the back of the engine near the fire wall. It is gray with a T connector at the top with two hoses coming off of the T and going forward into the intake manifold.
