Everyday my antifreeze reservoir leaks,i have to keep putting water in the reservior several times a day instead of spending a ton of cash on antifreeze.i'm not sure if the water's not going to the water pump or what.it over heats everytime i drive from work to home, which is only a 15 minute drive.the light on the dash comes on for the antifreeze, and the temperature gauge goes all the way into the red,and then the little red light comes on letting me know my car is overheating.i don't know if i should just keep spending tons of cash on antifreeze or what?!?PLEASE HELP ME OUT,I CAN'T AFFORD A NEW CAR!!!
I bought my 2002 alero and the coolant light popps on it hasnt really hit the max overheat in the red zone but iam constantly buying antifreeze what could it be?I dont see it leaking from anywhere
Your cooling system needs to be pressure checked to see where the leak is. certain auto parts stores rent out a pressure checker. make sure you have the cooling system full before doing the pressure test. check to see if you have a radiator cap and fill the system that way instead of using the resevoir

By repeatedly overheating the engine, you greatly risk causing SEVERE engine damage. Do not continue to drive the car without getting that coolant leak fixed. You could crack the cylinder head(s) which would cost over $1000 to repair.
