I purchased this vehicle for the sole purpose of pulling a travel trailer and relayed this intention when we made the purchase. My research revealed that the car could pull 6200 lbs. I purchased a trailer of about 4000 lbs, and have discovered after the RV center failed to be successful in installing a trailer break that this vehicle's computer system will not allow the breaking system. This is nor to be believed. How can a manufacturer advertise this pulling power but will not accept a trailer breaking mechanism. I have a new trailer that was delivered yesterday but do not have the means to pull it. Any help will be truly appreciated

Try this, take the steering colum cover off. Check the back of the multi function switch. Likely the ground wire is broke at the connector. I believe the ground wire is the second wire rom the top on the second row of wires. Unfortunately, the connector plugs inside the plastic houseing break and pull out. The fix isnt easy. You can either replace the entire wireing harness, or splice in some extra wire to take the strain off the plug. Good Luck

If this is a factory light harness for the trailer hookup on your Caravan. Look under the hood for a fuse box. Many 2000+ vehicles have this with separate fuses just for the trailer lights.

I lost all of my trailer lights. Turns out the wires in the harness were corroded out by the gas tank. Dealer said it was a common problem
